Our client in the PGM mining industry is seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Manager to join their operation in the North West region.
The ideal candidate will be technically strong, operationally driven, and actively involved within the plant environment. This role requires a leader who is regularly present on the plant floor, troubleshooting equipment, driving maintenance performance, and ensuring optimal plant operations.
• Actively manage and oversee plant operations and maintenance activities
• Ensure maximum plant availability, reliability, and performance
• Troubleshoot plant and equipment issues directly on site
• Drive maintenance performance and operational efficiencies
• Lead and support maintenance and production teams
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards
• Work closely with operational teams to improve plant performance
Technical Knowledge Required:
• Crushers
• Mills
• Flotation circuits
• Conveyors
• Pumps
• PGM processing plant equipment
The successful candidate must have a practical understanding of plant operations and equipment from an operational and maintenance perspective — not purely strategic or reporting based.
• GCC Mechanical Engineer Qualification
• PGM experience is essential
• Open-pit / Open Cast mining experience
• Strong operational and maintenance background within PGM processing plants
• Proven leadership and team management experience
