Description

A well-established processing operation within the South African chrome and PGM industry is seeking an experienced Logistics Superintendent to join its leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment who is passionate about operational excellence, inventory management, and leading high-performing teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all site logistics and transportation activities.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Ensure effective inventory control and stock reconciliation.
  • Coordinate diesel deliveries and related logistics activities.
  • Supervise and develop the logistics team.
  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Manage traffic control procedures and logistics planning for the site.
  • Monitor stockpile capacity and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Drive continuous improvement within logistics operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing, mining, or industrial environment.
  • Computer literate.
  • Valid Code 8 (EB) driver’s licence.
  • Medically fit.
  • Willing to work overtime and standby when required.
