Pre-Operative Duties

• Prepare and arrange trauma-specific instruments, implants, and consumables according to surgical requirements

• Verify trauma trays, surgical packs, and implants for completeness, sterility, and expiry

• Conduct pre-operative checks on theatre equipment including drills, suction, and diathermy

• Liaise with surgeons and theatre staff regarding patient-specific procedures and potential complications

Intra-Operative Duties

• Maintain a sterile field and enforce strict aseptic technique at all times

• Anticipate surgeon requirements during complex, time-sensitive trauma procedures

• Handle instruments, implants, and consumables with speed, accuracy, and precision

• Provide immediate technical assistance during intra-operative complications

• Ensure correct handling of specimens in line with hospital and legal protocols
