Our Client, in the Construction Industry, is seeking a Junior Technical Workshop Assistant to Assist with service and maintaining of equipment according to prescribed procedures and standards. To ensure the correct parts, tools, and equipment are available as and when required. To support workshop operations.
Assist with a range of tasks, including organizing tools, preparing materials, maintaining equipment,
and ensuring the workshop area is clean and safe.
Building & Assembly of Equipment:
• Assisting with building of equipment protection cabins and cabinets.
• Assist with building of blast cages.
• Assisting with building and assembling of bespoke solutions undertaken the OTFS workshop.
Maintain Tidiness of Workshop & Tools:
• Tool management and records.
• General cleaning and tiding of the work environment.
Qualifications / Experience:
• Matric advantageous.
• General workshop assistant experience of more than 5 years.
• Experience in Welding and use of hand and power tools.
Skills / Knowledge:
• A strong understanding of basic electric circuit design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of tools and equipment used in a workshop setting.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
